Mark Wright has subtly responded to Love Islander Luca Bish’s savage dig at the former TOWIE star in the latest episode of the ITV2 dating show.
The Brighton fishmonger inexplicably took aim at the 35-year-old shortly before clashing with fellow Islander Paige Thorne on Monday night before the Islanders gathered for the annual talent show.
Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, randomly came up in conversation between Luca, Adam Collard and Paige as Luca suddenly asked the duo if they thought Mark was “punching”.
Coming out of the blue as the three stood in the kitchen, Luca asked: “Oi Adam, would you say Mark Wright's really good-looking?”
Adam replied he thought he was “pretty good-looking”, before Luca declared Mark was “not all that”.
As the pair responded, Luca made it clear he thought Michelle was better looking than Mark, declaring Mark was "not all that" and he was “punching big time”.
It caused a stir in the villa, as Paige went on to say Luca was punching with partner Gemma Owen, prompting Luca to claim Paige was punching with Adam – before Paige stormed off.
ITV2 viewers were left baffled by the sudden dig and it seems to have left Mark equally nonplussed as he took to Twitter to respond to the savage swipe.
Posting a bleary-eyed topless selfie from bed, Mark wrote: “8:30am in Sydney…. minding my own business (literally sleeping) Waking up like…. What did I do? #luca”.
As the Islanders discussed the matter, viewers began tweeting asking why Luca suddenly "slated" Mark Wright, as they noted his "dig".
One fan commented: "Luca what did Mark Wright ever do to you please?"
Another agreed: "why is luca slating mark wright?" as a third tweeted: "Luca’s random dig at Mark Wright."
A fourth fan wrote: "What did mark wright do to Luca lmao," as another tweeted: "Not Luca trying to say Mark Wright isn’t hot, is he threatened by him too."
The comments kept coming too, with one reading: "Luca is arrogant as pork pie! What is he on about with Mark Wright."
Another wrote: “Strangest thing from that episode is Luca trying to convince himself that Mark Wright isn’t good looking.
“Not the first time Luca has mentioned Michelle Keegan either. Clearly someone is a little obsessed with her & jelly of her husband.”
