Marin Hinkle and her ex-husband Randall Sommer have finalized the terms of their divorce through an uncontested declaration of default, as per documents obtained by PEOPLE. The former couple, who filed for divorce last September after 25 years of marriage, have entered into a written agreement outlining the specifics of their separation.
Both parties have requested the court to reserve jurisdiction for potential spousal or partner support in the future, although they have already reached a current agreement on the nature of this support. Additionally, the payment of attorney fees for both Hinkle and Sommer has been determined in their written agreement, stipulated based on their mutual agreement pursuant to the Stipulated Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage.
In a joint statement, Hinkle and Sommer expressed their decision to end their marriage while emphasizing their continued friendship, mutual respect, admiration, and love for each other and their son. The couple, who tied the knot in August 1997 and share a teenage son named Ben, have largely kept their personal life private.
Hinkle gained recognition for her supporting roles in television series such as Once and Again, Two and a Half Men, and Madam Secretary before landing a prominent role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, where she portrayed Rose Weissman alongside a star-studded cast. The series aired for five seasons from 2017 to 2023.
In April 2023, Hinkle shared details of her close friendship with her TV daughter, Rachel Brosnahan, revealing that they frequently exchange texts. She recounted a humorous incident where Brosnahan needed money for bagels and how their interaction turned into a bonding session.
