The legendary singer-songwriter will be headlining The Celebration of Mimi Live, an exclusive residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. The highly-anticipated performances are scheduled to take place from April 12 to April 27.
Although the official statement announcing the residency mentioned that it is in celebration of the anniversary of Carey's chart-topping album 'The Emancipation of Mimi,' it should be noted that this April marks 19 years since its release. Nevertheless, Carey's decision to toast this occasion in advance is well-founded. 'The Emancipation of Mimi,' with its 14 tracks, is widely regarded as a comeback album that propelled Carey back to the top of the charts.
