Maria Connor star Samia Longchambon taking break from Coronation Street

Samia Longchambon Maria

Samia Longchambon has played Maria on Coronation Street for more than 20 years.

The star, who has been at the centre of some of the soap's most dramatic storylines, will take a break from the cobbles as she joins a completely different ITV programme.

The 40-year-old has been confirmed as one of the eight famous faces who will appear in the third series of Cooking With The Stars.
