Margot Robbie 'ready to start a family' with British husband after six years of marriage

Barbie star Margot Robbie is reportedly ready to become a mum.

The Australian actress, who stars in the hotly anticipated Barbie movie due to hit cinemas next week, is reportedly willing to "get things rolling" before her next project so she can focus on building a family with her British husband Tom Ackerley.

The pair have been married for six years, tying the knot back in 2016 in a secret ceremony on the Gold Coast after meeting for the first time in 2013 on the set of the WWII film Suite Francaise. They now live together in London.

However, things have been on pause for the couple, who are awaiting the best time to create their own family, as Margot is "so in-demand" right now.

"It's hard to even imagine carving that time out in schedule, but she's essentially her our boss as she works on movies that are through her own production company - so she can call the shots when the time is right," sources told Closer.

The insider revealed that the Australian bombshell transforms into a "traditional wife" when she's not busy working, and is "grateful to have Tom by her side keeping her grounded."

Tom and Margot have reportedly "worked through" the issues surrounding Margot status as a "global pin-up" and are ultimately "in a great place and ready to start a family," the source added.

Working on Barbie, a popular kids fashion doll, has made the 33-year-old even more broody, reports say, with Margot's role as the titular character "sparking feelings of what life will be like when she has the joy of her own kids running about."

The insider said: "Playing a much-loved children's icon has brought back memories of her own childhood, but she avoids putting any pressure on herself about it."
