Tears sizzled on the hot asphalt of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit yesterday as British race car driver Lando Norris claimed his maiden F1 world title.
“I've not cried in a while and I didn't think I would cry but I did,” a jubilant Norris told reporters after his win, which saw him claim the necessary third place in his final race, putting him two points ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in total, where he was able to secure the overall world championship.
But it wasn’t just 26-year-old Norris who was crying. As soon as the young driver left the track, he embraced his tearful parents, followed by his girlfriend, the 23-year-old model, actress, and influencer Margarida Corceiro (better known as Magui Corceiro), who was also weeping over her boyfriend’s victory.
To the untrained eye, it seemed like a sweet moment between two young lovebirds (albeit rich and famous ones). However, the comments on the F1 Instagram, which posted pictures of the embrace shortly after it happened, tell another story. “It should be his parents in the first pictures,” the top comment reads, with over 40,000 likes. “She made a great effort to cry,” another high-ranking comment adds. It’s not the first time a girlfriend of Norris’s has faced online hate, with the F1 star previously calling out the trolls who harassed his ex.
So, who is Margarida Corceiro, and what’s the lowdown on her relationship with Lando Norris?
Who is Margarida Corceiro?

Margarida Corceiro, aka Magui Corceiro, is a 23-year-old model, actress and influencer from Santarém, Portugal. A prominent Portuguese influencer, Magui has been modelling since she was a child and acting since her teens. Her first IMDb-credited role came in 2019, as part of the telenovela series Prisioneira.
Since then, Corceiro has taken on presenting and soap roles in TV shows across Portugal and Spain, having learned Spanish to increase her acting opportunities. This included an episode of the Amazon Prime series Cites Barcelona, which was based on the British TV series Dates, originally written by Bryan Elsley (the creator of Skins).
In 2023, Forbes Portugal listed Corceiro as one of the most influential Portuguese figures on Instagram. A year later, in 2024, it was rumoured that she may join the cast of the hit Spanish series Elite, although this never came to pass. Most recently, she has starred in the Amazon Prime series Ponto Nemo and A Fazenda, as well as the 2025 film Hotel Amor.
Along with her acting career, Corceiro is a successful influencer, with 2.3 million followers on Instagram and over 800,000 followers on TikTok. She is the co-owner of a swimwear company, MISSUS Swimsuits, and has collaborated with brands such as Keratese, Intimissimi and Alo. This summer, she was listed as one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Portugal.
How long has Margarida Corceiro been dating Lando Norris?

Bristol-born Lando Norris has something of a type when it comes to women: before Corceiro, he dated another Portuguese model, Luisinha Oliveira, from August 2021 until September 2022. Norris eventually announced their split on Instagram, writing: “Hello everyone. After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our relationship but remain good friends. I wish her the world and have so much respect for her and all she does as an amazing and strong woman with nothing but kindness.”
Norris was linked with Corceiro a year later, with the pair spotted driving in Norris’s car together, and Corceiro often noticed cheering him on at F1 events. However, their relationship was never confirmed during this early period, and they split for a portion of time around 2024.
“We met a few years ago, but we were never really together,” Norris recently confirmed in an interview with Vogue. “Until more recently.”
This was confirmed via a curt answer he gave in August of that year when asked by a journalist if he wanted a dog. “I don’t have time for a dog. If I do, I need a girlfriend, I don’t have one,” he said. At the time, a source told The Sun: “Lando and Margarida had a fun time together and hung out a lot. But it wasn’t working out so they cooled off. He’s free and single.”
Speaking candidly about his relationship with Corceiro for the first time, he said: “She's someone I can very much be myself with. Very down to earth and she lives quite a crazy life as well. It's nice when we can both just [rent] a boat for the day or go home together and chill. The biggest thing I'm trying to change is to get her into golf. She hates golf.”
What’s the issue with Margarida Corceiro dating Lando Norris?

The main source of contention comes from Margarida Corceiro’s former relationship with ex-Chelsea footballer Joao Felix, whom she dated for four years, from 2019 to 2023.
More specifically, it stems from the unsubstantiated 2022 rumours that she cheated on Felix with Tottenham player Pedro Porro. These rumours surfaced after he was noticed handing her his shirt after a match, and following claims that the pair had been seen kissing in a nightclub. Both have denied the rumours. At the time, Porro hit back saying: “The situation that is happening yesterday and today is very uncomfortable…
“I have a special relationship with [Corceiro], no one is being unfaithful to anyone. My image is not going to be stained by anything and less by things like these. I can do whatever I want. Stop staining the image of the three of us because it is not like that.”
Corceiro also responded to the kiss accusations publicly, saying: “If I wanted to be kissing someone, in an intimate moment, it would not be in Lust, much less in the VIP area with that little balcony and in view of the entire nightclub.”
She continued, “I also don't understand why those gentlemen who took the initiative to record that video and report it in such a nice way didn't remember to record me talking and hugging the other people who were there, the other guys, the players,” adding, “There were no kisses, there was nothing.”
It is not the first time a girlfriend of Lando Norris has encountered online hate. While dating Luisinha Oliveira, the F1 star openly criticised the hate directed at her on social media. “Whether it’s about my personal life, me and my girlfriend, especially the amount of hate pages dedicated to Luisa now, it is pretty horrific. They are on Instagram and Twitter, they are the main ones,” he told The Sun.
“What I find the funniest in a way is people are actually spending their one life on Earth just sat behind a computer trying to ruin and bully someone. When people are creating fake pages and fake chats, and fake WhatsApp messages, then I am like, ‘You’re actually spending your life doing that?’ They’re wasting their life. Not enough gets done. I report the things I see but there are so many, I don’t have time to go through them all.”
