Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram is ready to turn down offers from Aston Villa and Newcastle United to join Manchester United, according to reports.
As per BILD, the Frenchman only wants to join 'one of four dream clubs': Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, United or Paris Saint-Germain. The report also states that the 25-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the current season, could leave for as little as €12million in January.
However, it is claimed that the German club are 'rethinking' the situation, with Monchengladbach having a realistic chance of securing a spot in the Europa League next season. Therefore, the Bundesliga outfit are hesitant to let the player leave in the winter transfer market.

Thuram is thought to be keen on a move away from the club in January, with Newcastle and Aston Villa both thought to be interested in the player. However, the Frenchman, who has scored 13 goals in 17 matches this term, is reportedly not interested in joining any Premier League side other than United.
Elsewhere, transfer insider Dean Jones has suggested that Kylian Mbappe - who has been tentatively linked with a summer move to Old Trafford - would cost upwards of £200m.
Last month, the Mirror claimed that Mbappe had emerged as a shock target for the Reds as they looked to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. Erik ten Hag has already admitted that the club are looking to recruit a striker in the upcoming transfer window, but there is next to no chance that United make an approach for the Frenchman in January.
"Someone who’s just scored a hat-trick in a World Cup final, it’s the look of a £200m footballer. There’s no doubt about it," Jones told GiveMeSport.
"You hear at the moment Jude Bellingham being talked about as perhaps a £130m footballer, use that as a marker if you like for Mbappe, who is the ultimate game-changing forward. So it’ll be upwards of £200m from that standpoint."
