Marcus Rashford Carabao Cup final decision made amid Manchester United star's injury worry

It is the question on most Manchester United fans’ lips ahead of this weekend’s Carabao Cup final.

Marcus Rashford has been a revelation for Erik ten Hag’s side this season, scoring 24 times in all competitions so far in what has been simply unstoppable form. But his inclusion in Sunday's final remains to be seen ahead of an important run-in in three other competitions, and it appears most United fans have decided the 25-year-old should not make an appearance at Wembley.

In our survey, the MEN asked whether Rashford should be risked for the final or saved for the end-of-season run-in, with 43 per cent of fans saying that they would like to see him play in the final. However, 57 per cent stated that they would like to see Ten Hag rest the forward for the game and prioritise his inclusion in the squad for fixtures later down the line.

When asked how they think the result will go, it was an almost unanimous agreement, with 90 per cent of fans believing that United will win the trophy in normal time.

Less than one per cent think Newcastle will come away with the trophy, with the remainder thinking the Reds will have to go past 90 minutes to win.

Finally, when asked whether they think Ten Hag will be recognised as the best manager in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, just under half of all submissions agreed at 49 per cent.

22 per cent of fans believe that the Dutchman would rank in the top three following Ferguson’s retirement, with the remainder thinking that it is still too early to say.
