Marcus Edwards backed to one day play for England as he prepares for clash against former club Tottenham

Sporting boss Ruben Amorim has backed former Tottenham starlet Marcus Edwards to one day break into the England squad.

Edwards, who was likened to Lionel Messi by Mauricio Pochettino when he was coming through the youth ranks at Tottenham, left Spurs in 2019 for Vitoria de Guimaraes for a nominal fee and 50 per cent of his next sale.
