Marco Rubio says new US green card policy ‘not about India’, cites global immigration overhaul

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday said Washington’s new green card policy is part of a broader global immigration overhaul and is “not about India”, according to an interview with NDTV during his India visit.

“Well, it's not about India. It's about the whole world,” Rubio told NDTV when asked about the new US immigration policy that requires many legal immigrants already living in the United States to leave the country and apply for permanent residency from abroad.
