Marco Asensio has dubbed Mohamed Salah as one of the "best players in the world" and Liverpool as a "wonderful club" as the Real Madrid star continues to be linked with a move to Anfield.
The Spain international exploded on to the scene in the 2016-17 season and instantly became one of the most talented prospects in European football. However, in recent years Asensio has fallen down the pecking order at Madrid due to a number of injuries and there are rumours suggesting he could be allowed to leave this summer. And Liverpool, if the gossip columns are to be believed, are interested.
Speaking back in April, Asensio was highly complimentary of the Reds, and their talisman Salah, who has seen his reputation sky-rocket since he moved to Liverpool from Roma five years ago.

Asensio said : “Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world and he has been at the forefront of football for many years. He is in a wonderful club like Liverpool, which fought and competed in great battles to win great titles over many years.
“Mohamed Salah, in short, is a player with a special and great talent and a very good left leg that he plays with distinction, it is always a pleasure to watch any game he plays in.”
Asensio enjoyed the most prolific season of his senior career to date last time out. The attacker notched 14 goal contributions in all competitions, which helped Madrid claim an impressive La Liga and Champions League double, with the latter of those victories coming at the expense of Liverpool in the final in Paris.
