March heat breaks 5-year record in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: After remaining record high in March in more than five years, day temperature in Ludhiana fell slightly but continued to be many degrees more than normal on Thursday. Meanwhile, the met department predicts weather disturbance after two days.

The sky remained clear in Ludhiana on Thursday and the weather remained hot.

According to the met department, maximum (day) temperature in city on Wednesday was recorded at 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is six degrees more than normal. A day before and on March 28, the maximum temperature in Ludhiana was 37.7 degrees Celsius, which was highest in March since 2017 which was the maximum temperature recorded here since 2011. tnn
