Marcel Sabitzer has hailed the abilities of Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani amid interest from Manchester United. The attacker is being tracked with Erik ten Hag eager to buy a new centre-forward in the summer.
Harry Kane is the top transfer priority but the manager has a list of alternatives if a pursuit fails. Napoli star Victor Osimhen makes the list while Benfica goal-getter Goncalo Ramos and Mohammed Kudus of Ajax are also on the radar. MEN Sport understands that Atalanta talent Rasmus Hojlund is being monitored too.
Sabitzer himself was tracked for a while before Christian Eriksen’s long-term ankle injury prompted United to make a move for him on January transfer deadline day, joining on loan until the end of the season from Bayern Munich.

The Austrian spoke highly of Muani, although said he was none the wiser as to whether a potential switch to Old Trafford could be on the cards. He told Sky Germany: "I know him [Muani], he's a very good player.
“But I'm not involved in transfer activities. I can only say what kind of player he is. He's made a tremendous step this year. It's clear that many clubs are interested."
The 24-year-old scored for France in the World Cup semi-final against Morocco although is arguably more famous for his last-gasp extra-time shot being saved by Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez in the final.
Meanwhile, Sabitzer’s future is unclear. His loan deal expires next month and the midfielder previously admitted that he is not sure what happens beyond the summer.
Speaking about whether he has spoken to new coach of parent club Bayern Thomas Tuchel, Sabitzer said: "Of course there hasn't been any contact up to now, because they have a lot going on and we do too.
“Everyone is focused on their task. In which direction it will go, everything will be analysed and discussed at leisure."
