Marc Guehi to Arsenal transfer: Tottenham battle, price tag revealed, William Saliba worry

Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is the latest player to be linked with a summer transfer to Arsenal.

An injury to centre-back William Saliba played a huge part in the Gunners' Premier League title charge being derailed, with replacement Rob Holding struggling to replicate the form of the French international. Now, Mikel Arteta's side are said to be keen to bolster their defence during the summer window, with Palace's Guehi said to be an option.

So, football.london has rounded up all the latest reports linking the 22-year-old with a move to the Emirates Stadium below.

Tottenham battle

As per The Daily Mail, Arsenal are keen on Guehi and they are considering making a bid for the Eagles' central defender but they will face stiff competition for his signature.

It is claimed that the Gunners local rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also admirers of the 22-year-old as the Lilywhites look to re-build their defence following a torrid second half of the season. The report goes on to say that Arteta's side are eager to bolster their depth in defence following Saliba's aforementioned back injury.

Potential price tag

It is currently unclear just how much Palace would demand for Guehi, although it would most likely be considerably more than the £18 million they paid for him back in the summer of 2021.

Since arriving at Selhurst Park, he has consistently delivered top-quality performances, earning three caps for England's national team in the process. The Daily Mail reported earlier this year that the Eagles could be tempted to sell him if a bid in the region of £45 million arrived this summer.

Interest revealed

Arsenal are interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according The Sun.

The Gunners are said to admire the Palace centre-back as a potential target for the summer window, with Arteta looking to strengthen his defensive options. The former Chelsea man has established himself as one of the best young defenders in the English top-flight since joining the Eagles from the Blues two years ago.
