Mapped: UK areas in drought as thousands issued supply warning ahead of winter

A reservoir that serves hundreds of thousands of people could run dry within weeks, sparking more water supply fears as drought persists into autumn.

Ardingly Reservoir, which serves 280,000 people in the West Sussex town of Haywards Heath and surrounding areas in East Sussex has fallen from 22.8 per cent full a week ago to just 20.2 per cent full now.
