Manuel Lanzini is confident ahead of West Ham's trip to Sevilla with the Argentine international excited for the Europa League last-16 tie.
Lanzini's form in recent weeks has been excellent with the midfielder proving an important member of David Moyes' squad with his ability to play in a variety of positions.
On Saturday against Liverpool with Declan Rice absent through illness Lanzini dropped into a deeper role alongside Tomas Soucek and performed admirably. Later in the match after Mark Noble's introduction, Lanzini moved into his preferred No.10 slot and despite a poor miss was the Hammers' most creative outlet.
Lanzini's recent form has been recognised at international level with a spot in the provisional Argentina squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Lanzini was named in the squad in January but did not make the final cut through injury. Ahead of the final squad being named Lanzini is set to start for West Ham in a huge Europa League tie.
"It’s a big, big game for us. It’s against Sevilla and they are the most regular winners of the Europa League," Lanzini told the club website.
"It’s going to be a tough game, but we need to enjoy it, and if we do, I think we can win."
The Hammers take on Sevilla in Spain on Thursday evening before the return leg next week at the London Stadium and Lanzini believes a positive result at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium is on the cards.
"We need to first go there, play a very good game, and then after we be thinking about playing at home," he added.
The clash with Sevilla was always going to be a tough ask for West Ham and could be even harder is as expected Jarrod Bowen does not make the trip.
The England hopeful hobbled off against Liverpool on Saturday and despite the injury not thought to be serious the Europa League tie could come too soon for Bowen.
