Man’s body pulled from sea off Brighton beach

  • A man's body was recovered from the sea off Brighton beach on Wednesday morning, near Sea Lanes in Madeira Drive.
  • Emergency services attended the scene around 6.40am after concerns were raised for a man in the water, and he was pronounced deceased.
  • Sussex Police are working to identify the man and notify his next of kin, with inquiries ongoing in the area.
  • This incident occurred less than a mile from where three sisters – Jane Adetoro, Christina Walters, and Rebecca Walters – were recovered from the sea on 13 May.
  • Police have stated there was no third-party involvement in the deaths of the three sisters, and a separate incident on 29 May involved another man's body found at Rottingdean beach.
