NEW DELHI: Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has advised Indian batter Shubman Gill to adopt a technique similar to Ollie Pope's effective use of the front foot.

England's middle-order batter Pope notably altered his batting approach in the second innings in the first Test against India in Hyderabad. Manjrekar, now a cricket commentator, highlighted Pope's deliberate move towards the front foot, emphasising his purposeful quest for scoring runs.
