Manhunt Launched For Man With Massive Stash Of Illegal Firearms

police

Maryland police have initiated a manhunt for a 39-year-old man, Jerod Adam Taylor, after discovering a significant cache of illegal firearms in his possession. The search began following a reported domestic assault incident involving Taylor on November 7, where he fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Upon searching Taylor's residence, authorities uncovered a total of 80 firearms, including several 3D-printed 'ghost guns' lacking serial numbers. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office detailed the findings, which included semi-automatic rifles, handguns, shotguns, an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, and various firearm components. Additionally, the search yielded numerous large-capacity magazines, 18 suppressors, 74 auto sears, over 1,300 rounds of ammunition, body armor, a 3D-printed fully automatic rifle with an auto sear, a short-barreled rifle, 3D printers, and gun manufacturing tools.

Taylor, who remains at large, is described as a white male with a fair complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes, standing at 5'10' and weighing approximately 150 pounds. Authorities caution the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous, urging anyone who spots him to contact 911 immediately without approaching him.

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is pursuing charges against Taylor, including illegal possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of an assault weapon with intent to sell, possession of unregistered firearms, and other firearm-related offenses. Detectives are actively seeking information on Taylor's whereabouts and have requested that individuals with relevant details contact Detective First Class David Lawrence.
