A New York produce importer has recalled 302 boxes of mangoes sold at select Walmart stores across four Northeast states after federal sampling found Salmonella in mangoes grown on the same farm.
No illnesses have been reported. What makes this recall worth a shopper's attention is how it was triggered. The contaminated mangoes were never sold in the United States. The Food and Drug Administration found Salmonella in a separate batch from the same farm, and because the recalled fruit shares that source, Panorama Produce pulled it.
