MANGALURU: Acting on the directions of home minister G Parameshwara who visited the city recently, the Mangaluru City police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain has constituted the anti-communal wing, to keep a check on the moral policing incidents being reported in the city limits.
Commissioner Jain told reporters on Thursday that the inspector of the City Special Branch will head the wing that has about six members and will function under the supervision of ACP (CCB) PA Hegde who will report directly to the commissioner of police.
