Manchester United are considering a move for former Liverpool coach Andy O'Boyle as they look to appoint a deputy director of football, reports claim.
That's according to the Daily Mail, who say the Manchester Club are looking to bring someone in to assist director John Murtough as they believe he 'needs help with the scale of the task'.
O'Boyle, who is currently head of elite performance at the Premier League, is said to be one of the candidates being considered for the role.

He spent over five years at Liverpool between 2011 and 2017 working as a fitness coach with the first team, but has previously worked in roles within sports science and performance. O'Boyle had a brief spell with United in 2006 as an academy coach, but his wealth of experience has reportedly caught the attention of the recruitment agency used by the club.
Prior to his move to Anfield, he spent time at Wrexham as a first team fitness coach and over three years at Coventry as their head of sports science. He's also worked with England's U21s as a physical performance coach.
Liverpool's rivals are undergoing wholesale changes off the pitch in a bid to return the club to its 'former glory' and Murtough was promoted to become their first football director in March last year. At the forefront of their re-build is the appointment of a new first team manager.
Ralf Rangnick is currently operating as an interim for the remainder of the season, but the search continues with reports claiming Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are the prime candidates.
