Full time: Crystal Palace 3-0 Burnley An excellent start for Palace’s new manager Oliver Glasner. It took his team a while to break down Burnley’s 10 men, but eventually they scored three goals in 12 minutes.

Full time: Rangers 5-0 Hearts Rangers go five points clear after an easy victory over Hearts.

Full time: Brighton 1-1 Everton Jordan Pickford is effing furiously at everyone and no-one, Jarrad Branthwaite is shaking his head slowly. Everton would probably have taken a draw at 3pm – but not at 4.50pm, when they were a goal and a man up. Lewis Dunk’s admirably desirous header earned Brighton a point.

Full time: Southampton 1-2 Millwall Neil Harris begins his second spell at Millwall with a superb victory. Southampton’s hopes of automatic promotion are fading after consecutive home defeats.

Full time: Man Utd 1-2 Fulham A famous and deserved win for Fulham, their first against Manchester United since 2009!

GOAL! Ipswich 3-1 Birmingham (Hutchinson 90+2)

Ipswich have clinched the points at Portman Road.

GOAL! Man Utd 1-2 Fulham (Iwobi 90+7)

Alex Iwobi has won it for Fulham on the break! Adama Traore charged half the length of the field and fed Iwobi, who gave Onana the eyes and dragged a low shot inside the near post.

Man Utd 1-1 Fulham There are nine minutes of added time at Old Trafford, where both sides have just had chances to score a winner. Sounds like a cracking game.

“After conceding the opening goal, Dundee United are now 3-1 up against Queens Park, and still top of the Scottish Championship,” writes the unbiased Simon McMahon. “East Fife and Forfar, disappointingly, is 1-1.”

NO GOAL: Crystal Palace 3-0 Burnley

Burnley’s consolation goal has been disallowed for offside.

GOAL! Man Utd 1-1 Fulham (Maguire 89)

Fulham were two minutes plus added time away from their first win over Manchester United, home or away, since December 2009. And then a mistake from Bernd Leno allowed Harry Maguire to equalise for Man Utd. He pushed Bruno Fernandes’s shot out in front of goal rather than away, and Maguire gobbled up the loose ball.

Red card: Billy Gilmour (Brighton)

Brighton 0-1 Everton Brighton haven’t lost at home since September, in any competition, but they’re a goal and a man down now. Billy Gilmour has been sent off for a lunge at Amadou Onana. It sounds like it was dangerous rather than malicious, but he went over the ball and that usually means a red card.

If that doesn’t bring a third Forest goal, I don’t know what will.

GOAL! Brighton 0-1 Everton (Branthwaite 73)

A vital goal from Jarrad Branthwaite! Not content with being one of the better young defenders in Europe, he has put Everton in front. Jordan Pickford’s free-kick was headed down and bounced kindly for Branthwaite, who smashed a first-time rising drive across Verbruggen. They could be on for another season-changing win at the Amex.

Brighton 0-0 Everton Still goalless at the Amex despite Brighton’s dominance: they’ve had 10 shots at goal to Everton’s none.

A follow-up from Martin Widdicks, whose first email was sent a split-second before Moussa Niakhate made it 3-1 at Villa Park: “Do I have to watch the second half now?”

Man Utd 0-0 Fulham I’ve just seen the tackle on Sasa Lukic that earned Harry Maguire a yellow card. It wasn’t the best: he lunged for a loose ball and stamped on Lukic’s foot, which twisted as a result, then sent him flying as the top half of his body followed through. Not quite a red-card offence, but pretty close.

“A beautiful winter morning in the corn fields,” writes Martin Widdicks. “Kids asleep, coffee brewed, sit down to watch a rejuvenated Forest get completely blown apart by Villa who look a different class today. Turned the tv off and going to clean the kitchen. Saturday, bloody Saturday…”

I wouldn’t worry about relegation: just look at all the winnable home games you’ve got left. Maybe ignore the ones that say ‘Liverpool’ and ‘Manchester City’. But look at the rest!

GOAL! Aston Villa 3-1 Nottm Forest (Niakhate 45+5)

“Having cognitive difficulties with Barcelona’s game being described as ‘big’” writes Phil Podolsky. “They are such a profoundly uninteresting team these days. There were occasional sparks of intrigue when Xavi took over, maybe after certain Clasico wins, certainly when Gundogan joined. False promises, the lot.”

Are you accusing me of lazy journalism? Because if so, you’d be spot on.

A bit of news from League Two Barrow v Bradford has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

Meanwhile, in Scotland (aka if we’re not careful Simon McMahon will have employmenr rights by the end of the season)

“Interest at both ends of the Scottish Premiership today, Rob,” writes Simon McMahon. “Celtic, who don’t play until tomorrow, could find themselves five points behind Rangers, who play third place Hearts at Ibrox, by 5pm.

“The bottom two face off in Dingwall as Ross County host Livingston. A two-goal win for Livingston would move them above County on goal difference. In the Scottish Championship runaway leaders Dundee United are at home to Queens Park while Raith, a point behind United, travel to Ayr. And in Scottish League Two it’s the Eric Morecambe derby as East Fife meet Forfar at New Bayview.”

Look out!

“The MBM Man Utd bias in evidence again,” writes Richard Hirst. “The absence of Paulinha, who bossed the Utd midfield in recent matches, is a far bigger loss for Fulham than the absence of Hojlund is for Utd, yet what gets mentioned in the preamble? Bah.”

We may have inadvertently disrespected the Bing one of Europe’s finest ballwinners, but we did at least spell his name correctly.
