Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong's agent has been spotted in Barcelona over talks for his future with the Spanish club in need to either sell him or see him take a pay cut.
United, De Jong and Barcelona have been locked in negotiations for months as Erik ten Hag looks to try and reunite with his former Ajax player at Old Trafford.
The two clubs agreed terms for the midfielder nearly a month ago now, but since then little progress has been made following a legal complication surrounding money allegedly owed to the Dutch player from the Spanish club.

After the Manchester Evening News reported United and Juventus agreed a fee in principle for the transfer of Adrien Rabiot, it appeared that the club had begun to look at alternative options for De Jong.
However, it is believed that the Reds are still very much interested in pursuing a deal for the 25-year-old and that the club are considering other options just in case the deal cannot be done.
Now, The Mirror reports that images have been posted on the players agents Ali Dursun and Hasan Centikaya arriving in Spain for what have been classed as discussions regarding his client's future – with a decision reportedly coming in the next few days.
Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan has said: "No matter what Frenkie says at Barcelona, they (Man Utd) have a deal with the agent of the player. It just depends on what is happening at the political department of Barcelona over his wages which they still owe him."
United have now been chasing De Jong for almost three months, with only three weeks left in the transfer window.
