Manchester United will be without Diogo Dalot for next weekend's clash with Fulham after he picked up his fifth Premier League booking of the season during Sunday's 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The Portugal international, who has been exceptional this season, was cautioned during the second half. It marked his fifth booking of the campaign, meaning he will miss next Sunday's trip to Craven Cottage, being forced to serve a one-match suspension.
Dalot, who scored his first United goal in more than two years during the 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League last month, has started every game for the Reds this season, meaning manager Erik ten Hag will be forced into making an unwanted change against the Cottagers. The defender had been walking a disciplinary tightrope since being booked after just two minutes in the derby day defeat to Manchester City at the start of October.

Dalot, though, will be available for Thursday night's Carabao Cup third round tie with Aston Villa at Old Trafford. United will be determined to get back on track at the first time of asking and inflict revenge on Unai Emery's side following Sunday's defeat.
Dalot, who will have aspirations of being Portugal's starting right-back at the World Cup, has been one of United's best players this term, going from strength to strength in recent weeks. His game has been transformed under Ten Hag and his absence will be felt against Fulham next weekend.
Bruno Fernandes missed United's defeat to Villa after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign against West Ham United last weekend. He will be back available for selection in the league at Fulham.
