Toone, 22, produced a moment of magic as the Lionesses inspired a nation with their history-making Wembley triumph over Germany. England were 2-1 winners beneath the famous arch and their celebrations are set to continue in Trafalgar Square and beyond.
Five minutes after being summoned from the bench, Manchester United player Toone sent the whole country into raptures with a glorious finish. Germany then pegged the Lionesses back, before Chloe Kelly secured the win in extra time.

Kane, who captains the men's team, posted a congratulatory message to England on Twitter and picked out Toone for special praise. He wrote: "Absolutely unreal scenes at Wembley. Massive congratulations to the amazing Lionesses!! Ella Toone take a bow for that finish too."
Stepping onto the stage at Trafalgar Square alongside her victorious teammates, Toone was pressed on that praise and offered up a brilliant response. With the microphone in hand, she said: "Yeah, I taught him that."
