Manchester United are hopeful Amad can establish himself in the first-team squad when he returns from his loan spell with Sunderland.
Amad, 20, has scored three goals in his last five games for Championship side Sunderland and sources at United believe he is thriving due to consistent playing time.
A well-placed source suggested Amad needs "a run of 10 games" to showcase his qualities and the Cote d'Ivoire international has started Sunderland's last five matches.

Amad joined Rangers on loan midway through last season and scored on his debut against Ross County but was substituted at half-time in the defeat at Celtic four days later and did not line up again in the Scottish Premiership.
The right winger joined Sunderland when Alex Neil was manager but the Scot defected to Stoke City in late August and was replaced by former Blackburn and West Brom manager Tony Mowbray.
Amad had to wait until October 4 for his full debut for Sunderland and made a goalscoring return to the starting XI in the 4-2 defeat to Burnley.
The former Atalanta attacker created the first goal and scored the winner in Sunderland's last match at Birmingham City and figures at United are optimistic about his prospects at his parent club.
Although United manager Erik ten Hag played Amad as an auxiliary striker in his four substitute appearances during pre-season, the only other left-footed right winger in the squad is the £85.51million Antony.
United have the option to recall Amad in the January transfer window should they wish to boost their attack with an existing player to offset Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.
Amad joined United for £19m rising to £37m from Atalanta on transfer deadline day in October 2020 but he has only played nine times, three of them starts.
His only goal was an innovative header against AC Milan in the Europa League two seasons ago.
