Wednesday evening sees the second round of the WSL Continental League Cup fixtures where Manchester United travel to Durham.
United sit joint top of the Women’s Super League with Arsenal. Both have the maximum of 12 points from four games, scoring 11 goals and keeping four clean sheets to date.
United head into the game coming from a 1-0 win over bottom-of-the-league Leicester City on Sunday. Despite their excellent start in the league, the Reds sit fourth out of five in the League Cup group A standings, one place above Everton who play their first game against Aston Villa on the same evening.

Their opponents, Durham, currently sit ninth in their Championship league table with a game in hand, winning two, losing two and drawing one. Their most recent result being a 2-1 win over Lewes FC as their game against Birmingham at the weekend was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Wildcats' first cup game was against Sheffield United, where they won 5-3 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in open play. Rio Hardy and Beth Hepple opened the scoring early to put Durham in the lead.
Hepple got her second goal to retake the lead in the closing stages of the game, but it was pulled back to level terms in the 78th minute by Rebecca Rayner after Georgia Walters netted two for Shellfied.
United's first cup game ended in a 1-1 draw at Villa, but they lost 4-3 on penalties. Rachel Daly cancelled out Nikita Parris’ goal late in the game.
Manchester United travel away to the Maiden Castle Sports Park for a 7pm kickoff.
