Manchester United are reportedly set for a key week as they look to secure the signature of Frenkie de Jong.
MEN Sport reported in May that De Jong was being weighed up as an option for Erik ten Hag as he looks to improve United's midfield over the course of the summer. According to SPORT (via Inside Futbol), next week will be crucial for United if they wish to sign the Barcelona midfielder.
They claim that an agreement for his transfer could be reached with a fee likely to reach €80m (£68.6m). Ten Hag is reportedly confident that he will be able to convince De Jong to move to United despite the player's unwillingness to leave Camp Nou.

Elsewhere, Jesse Lingard is reportedly a target of Everton. Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Jose Mourinho's AS Roma are preparing to compete with the Toffees for the midfielder.
Frank Lampard is reportedly keen on securing Lingard's services after it was announced he would not be extending his stay at Old Trafford. The report adds that Everton don't have a huge budget to improve their squad this summer and so the free transfer market could be essential to Lampard's plans.
