Manchester United's 'strange' pursuit of Christian Eriksen transfer questioned by pundit

Christian Eriksen Bruno Fernandes Erik ten Hag Danny Murphy Frenkie de Jong Brentford Tottenham

Manchester United have been told they do not need to sign Christian Eriksen.

The Dane is a free agent this summer after an incredible January comeback with Brentford just seven months after his on-field cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. The playmaker assisted four goals in 11 Premier League games, also scoring against Chelsea.

He had been linked with a move to Tottenham, but United are now favourites to land Eriksen after Spurs failed to chase up their initial enquiries. The Manchester Evening News understands Erik ten Hag is eager to make him one of his signings this summer.
