Bruno Fernandes thinks 'the media' have to take some responsibility for the booing of Harry Maguire with England.
Manchester United welcomed Leicester to Old Trafford on Saturday evening and all eyes were on the club captain in the first match since he was booed by his own England fans at Wembley earlier this week. Gareth Southgate, Ralf Rangnick and Maguire's teammates across club and country had all condemned the boos and Maguire was under the spotlight against his former club.
It was another disappointing display from United, but Maguire performed well on an individual basis. As expected, Maguire received heavy backing from fans inside Old Trafford with supporters cheering his first touches and singing his name throughout.

The booing of Maguire has dominated the news cycle all week and Fernandes was asked about it after the game. Fernandes admitted it was 'tough' for Maguire and spoke out against an alleged narrative around Maguire from the media.
“It’s tough that your own country boos you in a game for the national team," Fernandes said.
"It’s maybe a little bit because of the media. It wasn’t because of his performance – he played really well in that game. Sometimes the media should think a little bit more when they do some things.”
