Manchester United's 21-man squad for Atletico Madrid friendly as Cristiano Ronaldo decision made

Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Manchester United squad to face Atletico Madrid in Oslo on Saturday, but the wantaway forward could feature against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag has named a 21-man squad to face Atletico in a pre-season friendly in Norway and it is expected his strongest side and the team that will resemble the starting XI to face Brighton next weekend will contest that game.

United then face Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford a day later, in what is Ten Hag's first home game, and some of those not involved in the Oslo fixture could feature then.
