Manchester United are currently focussing all their efforts on signing Frenkie de Jong, Vitinha and Malcolm Ebiowei, according to reports.
It's been a worryingly slow start to the summer transfer window for United as they have watched many of their great rivals get big deals done quickly while they are yet to make a single signing. Erik ten Hag is looking to make several additions to his new squad this summer as he looks for an immediate impact at Old Trafford.
United's midfield was already in dire need of strengthening, and that's before Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata all left. It's of little surprise that the middle of the park is the club's biggest priority in the market.

A new striker is also high on the agenda following the departure of Edinson Cavani, which has left Cristiano Ronaldo as United's only senior striker. Thankfully, the club appears to be working on strengthening those two key areas.
According to journalist Jonathan Shrager, United are 'primarily focussed' on the signings of three players. Midfielders De Jong and Vitinha and teenage striker Ebiowei.
De Jong has been United's top target for some time with Barcelona willing to sacrifice the Dutchman in order to raise funds and Ten Hag keen on a reunion with the player that made his first great Ajax team tick.
Vitinha is a solid defensive-midfielder in the mould that United have been crying out for for years. It's reported that the club are discussing personal terms with the Portuguese but are yet to make an offer to Porto. However, reports suggest that he has agreed terms with Paris Saint-Germain.
Finally, it's added that United are 'pushing hard' to sign Derby County starlet Ebiowei after the 18-year-old impressed last season in 16 Championship appearances.
Meanwhile, Adrien Rabiot is being linked with a move to Old Trafford. Calciomercato suggest he will either be playing for Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain or a Premier League club next season.
Rabiot only has one-year left on his current Juve deal, and it is suggested the club would be willing to sell him for just €15m this summer. The report claims United have taken ‘concrete steps’ towards a deal and the price for the transfer ‘is not a problem’.
