Manchester United players report for pre-season medicals

Some Manchester United players have reported at their Carrington training complex for pre-season medicals.

United's non-internationals are due to start pre-season training on Monday, with the rest of the players' returns staggered. The majority of the June international participants are scheduled to start training on July 4.

Players on international duty are usually granted a minimum three-week break before they return to their clubs.

Many of United's non-internationals have been abroad this week but some checked in at Carrington on Friday ahead of Monday's official return date.

Goalkeepers David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton, defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, Luke Shaw, midfielder Donny van de Beek and forwards Amad, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are all expected to be at Carrington on Monday.

Henderson could be rerouted to Nottingham Forest's training base as he prepares to complete a season-long loan move. The transfer is provisionally agreed and Henderson has to undergo a medical once he returns from his honeymoon.

Lindelof was selected in Sweden's squad for their four Nations League fixtures this month but withdrew through injury. Bailly also pulled out of the Cote d'Ivoire squad for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
