Manchester United player ratings with Raphael Varane good but Scott McTominay poor in Leicester draw

David de Gea

Had little to do in the first-half despite Leicester threatening. Could have done better with Kelechi Iheanacho's header but brilliantly thwarted Wesley Fofana. 6

Diogo Dalot

Caught up with Harvey Barnes to block his goalbound effort and got forward occasionally but final product not good enough. 5

Harry Maguire

Got the support that was expected and enjoyed a solid first-half and intervened at key moments in the second as well. One of his steadiest performances this season. 7

Raphael Varane

Composed on the ball and used it adventurously to try and instigate attacks. Fouled by Iheanacho for James Maddison's disallowed goal. 7

Luke Shaw

Booked but delivered the occasional decent dead-ball delivery until he got injured and came off at half-time. 5

Scott McTominay

Really sloppy with the ball and when he reverted to risk-aversive passing it got the crowd's back up. Booked but could easily have been dismissed and then he went off. 4

Fred

Played Bruno Fernandes through for United's outstanding chance of the first-half and pounced to punish Kasper Schmeichel and equalise. 6

Bruno Fernandes

Should have scored when played through by Fred but finished tamely and his stint as a false nine ended early. Did little back in his usual role. 4

Paul Pogba

He described it as a 'dead' season last week and at times played as if there is nothing left to fight for. Came off for Nemanja Matic. 4

Jadon Sancho

A very ineffective performance when United needed a consistent attacker with Cristiano Ronaldo absent. 4

Anthony Elanga

Bright in the first-half and drew a cynical foul from James Justin that warranted a booking. Game but pressure got the better of him. 5

Subs

Alex Telles

Caught out by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's cross for Iheanacho's goal. 4

Marcus Rashford

Did little. 5

Nemanja Matic

Had an instant impact. 6

Manager

Rashford has not performed all season but it was a mistake not to have started him as Fernandes failed through the middle. Couldn't motivate players in second-half. 4
