Nemanja Matic has warned his Manchester United teammates that they must win “almost every game” to clinch a Champions League spot this season.
United have won only two of their last six Premier League games, culminating in Sunday’s 4-1 derby thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.
That result leaves United in fifth, a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal but having played three more matches, while Tottenham have two games in hand and are only two points behind Ralf Rangnick’s men in seventh.
United host Tottenham in Saturday’s evening kick-off and still have to play Arsenal before the campaign is out too, leaving Matic in no doubt fourth spot is still up for grabs.
“For us, every game is a final until the end of the season,” the Serbian told the club website.
“We have to win almost every game to secure the Champions League place so I’m sure we’ll be mentally ready and physically, I’m sure we’ll do everything to win (on Saturday).”
