Manchester United could reportedly receive an additional influx in television revenue over the coming seasons as the Premier League may make more matches available to broadcast domestically.
The club received over £80 million last season from the current deal that sees Sky Sports, BT Sport, and Amazon Prime televise Premier League matches across the United Kingdom. Their current three-year contract expires after the 2024/25 season, and the auction deciding who will show what going forward is set to take place in autumn of this year.
Alongside the current broadcasters, reports claim Apple and DAZN are interested in entering the race for rights. The former entered the world of football by becoming Major League Soccer's broadcasting partner across the United States of America last year, with matches available across its Apple TV+ streaming service.

The Telegraph reports an extra 60 matches are likely to be made available to bidding broadcasters to boost the value of the domestic TV rights deal. That would take the total number of games available to 260 out of the 380 played, up from 200.
United's Premier League matches were shown live on television 28 times last season, the same amount as Manchester City and only once less than Arsenal and Liverpool (both 29). The club received £24.4 million from those appearances on TV, around £870,000 per match.
Broadcasting more games would mean United receiving additional revenue from the Premier League on a match-by-match basis. Should an increase in matches make the league's television deal grow in overall value, the club would benefit financially from any boost.
