Manchester United midfielder plays last game for club in U21s draw vs Blackpool

Blackpool U21s Manchester United Charlie Wellens Noam Emeran Maxi Oyedele

Charlie Wellens played his last game for Manchester United on Tuesday night ahead of the expiry of his contract.

The Manchester Evening News understands the decision has been made not to offer Wellens another deal and that he is currently looking at clubs ahead of a departure in the summer window when his United contract is due to expire.

Wellens, 20, trialled with Barnsley's Under-21s in January and his time in United's academy is now coming to an end.
