Erik ten Hag has backed Christian Eriksen to provide Manchester United's forwards with the ammunition to score goals this season.
Eriksen made an encouraging first outing for United during their pre-season defeat to Atletico Madrid in Oslo, playing the last 20 minutes of the 1-0 loss.
The Denmark international was a lively presence coming off the bench and he clipped in one driven cross that just evaded Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga.

He then delivered a corner that put a chance on a plate for Harry Maguire and tried a couple of through balls to get Rashford in behind the Atletico defence.
Ten Hag was critical of United's finishing against Atletico, but he praised Eriksen's contribution and the midfielder could start Sunday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford.
“We know what he is able to do. With our front men he’s able to give them in the right moment the right passes, then it’s about finishing," Ten Hag told MUTV.
The friendly turned into a feisty affair, with Fred sent-off in injury time after picking up a second yellow card, but Ten Hag was critical of some of Atletico Madrid's aggression.
“I like competitive, but with respect, I don’t want to have injuries as well that's why you have to keep respect for each other and I’ve seen some tackles that are maybe a little bit over the limit," he said.
