Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo shows Cristiano Ronaldo winning attitude after Rangers debut

Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo has broken his silence after making a goalscoring debut for Rangers.

The 19-year-old took just four minutes to open his account for the Scottish Premiership champions and played a role in their equaliser in the second half after James Tavernier tapped home after Diallo's initial effort was saved.

He was replaced after 66 minutes before Conor Goldson headed in a third but a 96th-minute equaliser for Ross County meant Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side had to make do with a share of the spoils.

On Instagram, he showed the winning-mentality seen from Cristiano Ronaldo by turning his attention to the next game, posting: "Happy with the debut, now we are concentrating for Wednesday a great game is waiting for us."

A number of United players leaped to praise the Ivorian on his bright debut with Teden Mengi, Jesse Lingard, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Elanga all showing their support.

Reflecting on Amad's debut, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst was pleased with the impact of his new signing.

"You could see his quality, I mean he made the first goal he was very good in the space in the second post, you could see what he can give to the team," the 46-year-old Rangers boss said.

"He's got the talent but we had to take him off because he didn't have the rhythm like other players. Overall, was a good performance by him but in the end, we are disappointed with the draw."

The games come thick and fast for the Reds youngster as they face Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Wednesday, with Ange Postecoglou's side shortening the gap at the top of the Scottish top-flight with their hard-fought win over Dundee United.
