Manchester United are one of several top European clubs to express their interest in Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini, according to reports in Italy.
Italian defender Scalvini has been outstanding for Atalanta this season, the 19-year-old featuring 18 times as the side from Bergamo fight for a Champions League place. Such form has inevitably attracted plenty of attention, with the continent's top sides all keeping an eye on the teenager's form over the second half of the campaign.
According to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera (via 90min) United are one of the many interested parties but will face competition from the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Liverpool if they do decide to approach the defender in the summer.

with a long-term contract that could keep him in Bergamo until 2027, any offers will need to satisfy Atalanta's demands for a player widely regarded as one of Italy's most promising defensive prospects in years.
Elsewhere, United have seen an approach for Goncalo Ramos knocked back by Benfica, according to Portuguese outlet Record.
The Reds reportedly made the approach via agent Jorge Mendes after monitoring the striker's development for months. Erik ten Hag is expected to go big for a forward come summer, having signed Wout Weghorst on loan for the remainder of this season.
Ramos is one of several potential targets, but an approach to begin preliminary discussions has been swatted away by Benfica, with the Portuguese giants unwilling to enter talks for any of their players until summer.
Club president Rui Costa is keen to keep his players focused on football, with Benfica top of the league and into the knockout stages of the Champions League.
