Manchester United injury update: Marcus Rashford, Casemiro and Luke Shaw latest news and return dates

Manchester United have been dealing with mounting injury problems this season.

While there are bigger issues at the club in terms of open fan revolt against the Glazer Family ownership as well as a string of poor performances from Erik ten Hag’s side, there is little doubt the lengthy absence list has not helped matters.

The United boss has been without a number of key players all season and Marcus Rashford appears to have added to the concerns by sitting out of their tight win over Fulham on Saturday.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Man United injuries.

Marcus Rashford

The striker was said to have taken a heavy knock to his leg in training and will duly be assessed ahead of this week’s trip to Copenhagen in a crucial Champions League clash.

Potential return date: Wednesday 8 November vs Copenhagen

Luke Shaw

England international Luke Shaw has not played since August after injuring a muscle in his leg.

Ten Hag, however, is hopeful the defender will return after this month’s international break.

Potential return date: November 2023

Casemiro

Key midfielder Casemiro sustained a hamstring injury in the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle and is expected to miss an extended period.

Potential return date: December 2023

Tyrell Malacia

Left-back Tyrell Malacia is yet to play at all this season after undergoing knee surgery over the course of the summer.

Reports have suggested he could return in the New Year.

Potential return date: January 2023

Lisandro Martinez

Such a key figure for United last season, Lisandro Martinez was forced to go under the knife to fix a foot problem. A January return seems likely as a result.

Potential return date: January 2023

Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo impressed on loan at Sunderland last season but saw his pre-season cut short by a knee injury. He has, however, recently been spotted training back out on grass again.
