Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Christian Eriksen.
The playmaker is a free agent this summer following his astonishing January comeback with Brentford just seven months after his on-field cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. Tottenham and Ajax were linked with the Dane, but United are considered frontrunners to land him on a free transfer.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Eriksen is one of Erik ten Hag’s primary summer targets. United had tabled an offer to the player last month. And now, the Daily Star claims that the club have held numerous rounds of positive talks with the 30-year-old. It claims they are willing to offer him £150,000-a-week for two years.

However, Eriksen is reputedly willing to bide his time and wait to see who United sign before making a decision. The MEN understands deals in principle have been agreed for Frenkie de Jong and Tyrell Malacia.
Meanwhile, Fulham are confident of landing Andreas Pereira, according to 90min. It claims a fee has been agreed and the Premier League new boys are poised to engage in talks with the player.
But in another twist, Flamengo are reported to have renewed their interest in securing the player permanently. Pereira signed off his loan spell with the Brazilian club with a sensational goal on Thursday.
Flamengo rejected the £8.5m option-to-buy in his loan contract but supposedly may still enquire about a permanent switch for a cut-price fee.
