Manchester United hold 'outsider' Jude Bellingham chance and more transfer rumours

Manchester United hold an 'outsider's chance' of beating Manchester City and Real Madrid to Jude Bellingham this summer, according to reports in Germany.

Bellingham looks set to be the most in-demand player of the summer, with the 19-year-old already one of Europe's top midfielders. An outstanding season with Borussia Dortmund and a strong showing for England at the World Cup has seen the teenager's value sky-rocket.

As such, long-time admirers Liverpool look to have pulled out of the running, instead favouring a more holistic midfield rebuild. Madrid and City are considered frontrunners for a summer move, but SPORT1 journalist Patrick Berger reports that United are still in with a chance.

He adds that Erik ten Hag 'urgently wants' the teenage sensation, with the Dutchman set to prioritise a ball-playing No.8 alongside a world-class goalscorer this summer. Dortmund are expected to demand around £130million for Bellingham, should he be sold, but the Bundesliga side also hope to tie their star down to a new deal and keep him in Germany for another season.

Elsewhere, Sport Bild (via Sport Witness) report that United currently hold the most concrete interest in Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani. As mentioned, Ten Hag is expected to make a top-class No.9 one of his major summer priorities, with Harry Kane earmarked as the prime target.

But with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy insistent on keeping his talisman, United have looked elsewhere in order to build a contingency plan. Kolo Muani has been joined by the likes of Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund on the club's radar.

The French international has attracted plenty of interest following a clinical campaign at Frankfurt, with 19 goals and 12 assists across all competitions this season. Chelsea and Bayern Munich are both thought to have eyes on the 24-year-old, but the report suggests it is United who are showing the strongest interest.
