Manchester United will be without midfielder Scott McTominay when Eddie Howe and company play at Old Trafford next weekend. Despite the Red Devils playing just eight Premier League games, the Scotland international has accumulated five yellow cards and will serve a one-match suspension.
McTominay had only been on the pitch a matter of minutes when he went into the referee’s book for a foul on Demarai Gray. Erik ten Hag’s side held on at Goodison Park to clinch all three points - and move above Newcastle United in the table.
Cristiano Ronaldo bagged his first Premier League goal of the campaign, a feat he achieved against the Magpies last season. Alarmingly, the Portuguese superstar may be hitting form at the wrong time as Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are the only English clubs to have conceded more goals to him than Newcastle.
