Gary Neville admits he wants Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season if only to stop Manchester City and Liverpool from getting their hands on the famous trophy.
Neville claimed 12 top-flight medals during his decorated playing career with Manchester United, but over recent seasons following his retirement the clubs he counts as main rivals have dominated the domestic scene. City have reigned supreme four times in the last five years.
However, in order for Pep Guardiola and his star-studded team to make that five from six, they have serious work ahead to bridge the gap opened up by table-toppers Arsenal, who were seven points clear at the summit heading into their Tuesday night showdown (7.45pm) with surprise package Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking about that match, Sky Sports pundit Neville said: "It's a big test for Arsenal and Newcastle. I was looking forward to the game and bounced over from Brentford last night.
"Arsenal have answered every question that has been put to them so far with a brilliant run. The football has been electric and from that first 20 minutes in the first game they have been on fire.
"We are so early in the season yet. I'm conscious about talking about winning the title right now, but they are in a great position [to challenge].
"If they were to finish top-four this season - and I know that sounds ridiculous because people are saying they can win the league - and they could win the league. But if it's not going to be Manchester United winning the league, I want Arsenal to win the league because I don't want City or Liverpool to win the league.
"But there's such a long way to go. We're not even at halfway yet."
