Edwin van der Sar has lavished the praise on Erik ten Hag ahead of his imminent arrival at Manchester United.
United and Ajax have built a healthy relationship over the last few seasons. Van der Sar has been Ajax's CEO since 2016 and he's played an important role in establishing those lines of communication, which helped United sign Donny van de Beek two years ago.
Ten Hag is the latest man to swap the Amsterdam Arena for Old Trafford. The Dutchman has joined United on a three year deal with the option of another year and he's set to face the biggest challenge of his career to transform the Reds' fortunes.

Ten Hag won the Eredivisie with Ajax last week and he is set to start work on planning for United next season, with the Dutch season officially over. Van der Sar spent five years working with Ten Hag and he's now paid tribute to the 52-year-old ahead of his exit.
Van de Sar, speaking on social media on Sunday, wished Ten Hag good luck at a club that is 'close to his heart'.
"Thanks for the football, Erik. You became one of the greatest coaches we’ve ever had," Van de Sar wrote.
"I wish you all the luck at Manchester United. A club which is also close to my heart. I know you will succeed! "
