After almost two weeks on the training ground, Erik ten Hag will soon find out if his Manchester United's players are capable of putting his plans into practice.
United, who arrived in Bangkok in the early-hours of Saturday morning, will face Liverpool on Tuesday in their first of six pre-season friendlies. It will mark the beginning of an audition period for many United players, most of whom will not necessarily be guaranteed a starting berth when the competitive action gets underway on August 7 against Brighton & Hove Albion.
As with any pre-season campaign, at any club anywhere in the world, United's is set to feature a blend of youth and experience. It is a time where managers can get away with tinkering and chopping and changing without the consequences being too damaging.
