Manchester United have agreed one summer deal, with another few set to follow.
After a tough start to the season under Ruben Amorim, the Red Devils are finishing the campaign strongly, sitting third in the table and looking a comfortable bet to return to the Champions League next term.
With Michael Carrick still only in interim charge, however, the decision-makers at Manchester United are making moves for new blood to strengthen their squad ahead of a potential return to the top table.
Manchester United agreed move for one new face already
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the managerial position at Old Trafford, United are making moves in the transfer market already, with the Manchester Evening News shedding light on four players that the club are targeting.
Apparently, at least two midfielders will be targeted – with Casemiro recently re-affirming his exit plans – along with a younger left-back and a left-winger.
The report also states that United have reached an initial agreement with Cristian Orozco, with the Colombian potentially one of those two midfielders.
The 17-year-old is set to move to England upon his 18th birthday, with a fee of around £750,000 agreed for his signature.
Orozco is a highly-rated no.6 who has captained his country's under-17 side, and reportedly has already been to England to scope out Manchester ahead of his move, with FourFourTwo understanding that the Red Devils are prepared to be patient with the teenager and allow him a significant period of adaptation before they feel he is ready to be a part of senior plans.
With Colombia enjoying a resurgence internationally, plenty more talents are emerging from the South American nation to play in Europe's top five leagues – and United's capture of Orozco demonstrates their commitment to bringing the best youth players in the world to the Premier League.
Since their INEOS takeover, United have signed the likes of Patrick Dorgu, Senne Lammens, Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi, in a bid to lower the average age of their squad without breaking the bank.
Orozco could well be one of three midfield upgrades this summer, too, with both Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali on the list when it comes to more senior options on the market.
Manchester United return to Premier League action on April 13 when they host Leeds United.
