Manchester United icon Gary Neville mocked Liverpool fans after Mo Salah signed a new contract with the club on Friday.
The Egyptian had 12 months left on his contract amid fears from Liverpool fans that they could lose their star man in a year’s time. But on Friday, the club announced that he had signed a new long-term deal.
It’s understood that he has penned a three-year deal worth £350,000-a-week when bonuses are factored in, according to the Mirror. It makes him the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history.

Speaking on the Overlap in October, Neville said he couldn't see Salah staying at Liverpool long-term. He argued: “I don’t think he will stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career.
"I think Salah’s got to experience Real Madrid, the Bernabeu – Real Madrid are going to come back, by the way. I think he’s done an unbelievable job at Liverpool.
“I’ve just always felt he wants a Paris [Saint-Germain], a Real Madrid, a Barcelona and I think he’ll go and get it. But I might be wrong.”
Now, United hero Neville has delivered a quip on Twitter that prompted a strong reaction from Liverpool fans. “Salah has played them hasn’t he,” Neville wrote with two laughing faces and a wink emoji.
